Winery founded by Julio Martínez Bujanda in 1976, thereby responding to a long, solid family tradition in the wine-growing world. The winery underwent major redevelopment in 1988, which finally established this company in Rioja Alavesa, but it was in 1999 when, after carrying out further reorganisation through the enlargement and modernisation of its facilities, it finally revealed its best side, Crianza and Reserva ranges being joined to its well known young red wines. Its considerable expanse of vineyards, exceeding 60 hectares and located at between 450 and 480 metres of altitude on gentle slopes of fertile soil, ensure the quality of a raw material, the Tempranillo varietal, that is the basis for its wines. The Winery itself is very flirtatious, the visitor being struck by its extraordinary cleanliness and tidiness.
